My Social Media Story

I started my social media journey in 2013 after becoming recently engaged in November 2012. I discovered YouTube as a platform where I could express my love for makeup, beauty and fashion and was itching to make my first video! After a few trial attempts I made my channel and posted my very first video, a makeup tutorial. A few months went by and I had saved up enough money for a Canon 600D with a 50mm lens and I was proud as punch although I had no idea how to use a DSLR camera. I fumbled my way through the settings, lusting over everyones blurry backgrounds with candles and thinking I HAD to have the same set up! It was my love for creating content that was in full bloom and keeps me going till this day.

My channel has followed me on my life journey of getting married in 2014, many. MANY shopping hauls, building our dream house, getting our newest member of our family, Penny the dalmatian, our heart breaking journey through TTC and now finally sharing my first pregnancy! I feel so connected with my audience that I am comfortable showing all of the ups and downs that life brings. I’ve laughed, I’ve cried and I have a whole bunch of friends who have my back and are cheering me on through the internet!

My aim is to bring comfort, happiness and a good, authentic energy to your day when you watch a video or see an instagram post. Of course I want to share things I’ve recently bought or what I’ve been using lately when it comes to routines, as that is where this started! But I also love being able to sit down with the camera on and just chat about life, like I’m catching up with a friend.
