Unboxing My May BellaBox
I was so excited to receive my BellaBox for May in the mail this week! This is my second box ever and can I just say - value for money! The boxes are $15 each and with my coupon code you can receive $5 off of your first box.The May box has a "JetStar" Theme and came like this which I think adds such a cute quirky touch to the box! Opening it up...Honestly as I started pulling everything out Dean came out to see what all the fuss was about (apparently I was making a lot of noise!) Below are all of the products in the May boxFirst up we have the trusty old Swisspers! Now who couldn't use a handy travel size of these to put in their travel bag or handbag? I haven't used them for a while but before I decided to branch out and try different ones, Swisspers were ALL I used for a few years.Next up is the Face of Australia Mechanical Lip Pencil in Pink. Now this one got me excited! I have been eyeing this one off in Priceline for a while but never gone to buy it because I always have too many other things in my basket. It glides on nice and smoothly and is quite pigmented. The colour is a very hot, bright pink which will work well with a lot of my collection (obviously I'm a pink kind of gal!) I'm so happy to receive this and what's even better is I don't have to sharpen it! Next up is the Wen Sweet Almond Mint conditioner. The first thing I notice about this is that it is an extremely generous sample size at 60ml! However I have has a little look on the Wen wibsite "How-To Use" page it states you need to use 16-24 pumps for medium hair! So I think this is a conditioner that shampoos your hair? I'm a little confused about it and obviously haven't tried it yet but they have pretty good statistics on their website like "In a 3-week study 100% of users said their hair was more moisturised." Now because I have blonde hair I'm constantly looking out for great products to give my hair more moisture and stop the breakage - maybe this is the answer? I will need to test it out to see though! The next thing I definately have heard of - it's a sample size of the Invisible Zinc! I haven't done my own reseach but I have been told that most sunscreens don't contain enough zinc in them to actually protect you and you need a minimum percentage of zinc to be protective. I work with some officers who are outside for a huge part of their day, every day and one recenly had to have a procedure where skin was removed from his nose and skin grafting was involved with taking skin from his forehead and flling in the missing skin on his nose (it wasm't pleasant at all). His Doctor was the one who advised him the minimum zinc he had to have was 15-16% and he sent me looking for a sunscreen that had that minimum requirement. As I am in charge of all the purchases for the department, I came back with Invisible Zinc which has 18% Zinc Oxide. I was so excited to receive an Anastasia Beverley Hill product! This gel is a fabulous travel size at that. I've heard really amazing things about it and cannot wait to use it. I also can't wait to pretty much buy the whole range next time I'm in the States! Lastly we have a Appelles Apothecary Pure Vegetable Soap Bar with Australian Essential Oils - Blue Mallee eEcalyptus, Niaouli, Rosemary & Lemon Myrtle. Now this smells divine! One of the first things I notice about this soap is that the brand claims to be animal cruelty free - not tested on animals which I think is such an awesome thing! I'll confess, I'm not much of a soap/ bath type of person (I just get the same old big bottle of squirty soap to use in the shower every time) but I like how these are represented. A bit about the brand from their website: "Scientifically proven skincare technology combined with natural ingredients, known throughout the ages to stimulate healthy skin and hair, are enriched with powerful vitamins and extracts and infused with indigenous oil blends forming the foundation that is the APPELLES range." The scent is very strong which makes me think that if you used this soap in the morning, the scent would last all day with you. That is it for my May BellaBox! Now tell me after seeing all of these products you can't afford $10??oxo CrystalFollow my blog with Bloglovin
