Loving Tan Deluxe Bronzing Mousse
Now I am always up for discovering a new tan and this one would have to be my current favourite at the moment – I’m Loving it!This product does come in three shades, Medium, Dark and Ultra Dark which is a fantastic variety, usually there are only two shades, light and dark. Today I am reviewing the Dark Shade. Retailing for $29.95 from their website, David Jones or some Pharmacies (they have a function on their website where you can put in your postcode and it will populate a map of the closest stockists which is fabulous!) Development time for this tan is eight hours, which is perfect for overnight use, or even to use at the start of the day for a tan at night time. The formula - Applying the tan gives instant colour to your skin with a deep colour-guard that washes off. The Loving Tan formula is very quick drying (it does say dry within 60 seconds!) However, as it does dry so far keep in mind you will need to rub in quickly and only do small areas at a time such as the forearm, not the whole arm. A pro is you can then get dressed sooner than some other tans so that you’re not just standing around naked waiting for your tan to dry! Let’s talk about the colour. I would have liked to try this in the ultra dark as dark is a little light for me, I would have to apply it for at least two days prior to the day that I want to be tanned by. The colour it turns out on your skin is amazing! Not orange, but olive like colour which looks fantastic. A lot of the colour does wash away when you have a shower (hence why I have to re-apply) but once I have the perfect amount built up it is perfect. The scent – The bottle does say it’s “deliciously fragranced” however I am yet to find a tan that doesn’t have that “tan” smell – if you know what I’m talking about! By the end of the day the “tan” smell really starts to come out but I don’t think you can avoid this in any tanner! Overall it’s not too overpowering or strong and it’s not an unpleasant smell – it’s just noticeable. The tan is long lasting. The only issue I have with tan (not just this one) is that it wears away from my under arms too quickly. I haven’t found a solution for this yet apart form having to re-apply in the area on the days when I don’t tan the rest of my body. I would tan for maybe 2-3 days and then not have to tan for about 4-5 days after. There are no streaks and when it wears away it does it evenly and doesn’t “scratch” off like a lot of other tanners. My technique is to apply the tan without moisturiser and then moisturise between applications. I start with usually my chest, work down my arms and use the Easy to Reach Back Applicator for Self Tanning to tan my back is my husband isn’t around. I then work on the leg and feet and working it up to my thighs. I don’t usually tan my stomach or lower back unless I am wearing something backless or with cut-outs, (no one sees my stomach anyway!) The last place I apply the product is to my hands. I make a claw and get it in the nooks and crannies of the hands, wait a little for it to dry and then put the mitt on only to tan the other hand. I make sure I do this right before bed or right before I leave the house so I don’t have to wash my hands any time soon.

One of the great things about this tan is that it uses Organic DHA, it contains no Parabens or alcohol in the formula which is so much better for your body. There is a lot of hyper regarding paraben free products and to put it simply, tests have shown that using products with parabens can elevate the chances of breast cancer. Although some can argue what doesn’t elevate the chances? However, I like to think using any product I can get my hands on which doesn’t include parabens is more beneficial to my health than using products with them Overall – I am have discovered my new favourite tan! Let me know in the comments below of yourfavourite self-tanner. Keep an eye out for a review on the 2-Hour Express Dark Self Tanning Mousse (spoiler alert – I love this one even more!) oxo Crystal
